Financing

We have been funded by the Helmholtz Association, Berlin, within the framework of the Helmholtz Validation Fund and by GEOMAR, Kiel.

In June 2019, around 1 million in funding was raised as part of a first round of capital. The funding was provided by the Seed and Start-Up Fund II of MBG (Mittelständische Beteiligungsgesellschaft) Kiel, MVZ Labor Dr. Krause und Kollegen and two business angels with industry experience.

In December 2020, a second financing round of around EUR 1.6 million was concluded. The funding was provided by the Seed and Start-Up Fund II of MBG (Mittelständische Beteiligungsgesellschaft) Kiel, Labor Dr. Krause & Kollegen MVZ GmbH, Kiel, and SVM Verwaltungsgesellschaft mbH, Hamburg.

The funds raised will be used on the one hand to drive further geographic expansion. On the other hand, the capital will be used to further expand the existing laboratory capacities.

In the context of the further development of our patent-pending diagnostic procedure and in the context of further international expansion, we are interested in contacts with private and public venture financiers/VC companies as well as strategic investors.
